Primoris Services Corporation, through its Q3 Contracting division, seeks a Construction Mapper in Little Canada, MN. You will handle data entry, GIS mapping, and field-to-office coordination, creating as-builts and ensuring accurate utility documentation for crews in the field.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong MS Office skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication. Prior construction exposure is a plus; this is a full-time, on-site role with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Experience or preference for a construction environment is beneficial.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) is required.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and data collection.
• Digital filing and on-site measurement documentation.
• Read and interpret underground utility prints and GIS maps.
• Create billing/mapping rough sketches for premises for field crews.
• Coordinate with field crews and in-house locators to ensure data accuracy and safety.
• Process mapping, billing, and material information using Excel.
• Create complete as-builts and ensure no conflicts with utilities.

We’re hiring a Construction Mapper for our Little Canada, MN office!

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Data entry / Data collection
• Digital filing
• Professional communication
• Processing field data that will include utility locates, measurements and compliance documents.
• Read and understand underground utility prints.
• Reading utility maps including GIS (Geographic Information System Mapping Technology).
• Create billing/mapping rough sketch forms for individual premises that will be used by crews in the field.
• Constant contact with field crews to ensure accuracy of information.
• Constant contact with in-house sewer locators to assure safety of the public.
• On-site measuring and documenting of installed utilities in the field.
• Creating paper maps documenting utilities as they are installed.
• Create complete As-Builts documenting work completed.
• Reading sewer As-Builts to guarantee no conflict with installed utilities and customer compliance.
• Understanding of customer billing codes.
• Processing mapping information from the field using Excel.
• Processing billing information from the field using Excel.
• Processing material information from the field using Excel.
• Data backup using Egnyte.
• Liaison between customers and field crews on all mapping issues.
• Various other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in English
• Prefer a construction background
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Products
