Job summary

Creative Modular Construction (CMC) seeks a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support daily operations—AP, AR, vendor management, and financial reporting—in a construction and manufacturing setting in Springfield, Missouri.

This role maintains accurate records, supports internal controls, and assists with month-end and year-end closings, budgeting, and job costing using the company's ERP system and Excel.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with ERP systems or accounting software.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and prepare payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements, credit cards, and GL accounts.
• Maintain vendor records and monitor payment terms.
• Generate customer invoices and statements and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end/year-end closings.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and project cost tracking.
• Support external audits and tax preparation.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
