Creative Modular Construction (CMC) seeks a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations in a construction and manufacturing setting. Based in Springfield, MO, the role covers AP/AR, vendor management, general accounting, and financial reporting.

The position is full-time with standard hours. Responsibilities include journal entries, month-end close, budgeting and project cost tracking, and assisting with audits.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Two+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with ERP systems or accounting software.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Construction industry project accounting or job costing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and prepare payments (ACH, wire, and checks).
• Reconcile vendor statements, cards, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closings.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and project cost tracking.
• Generate financial reports and assist audits and tax preparation.
• Maintain vendor records and ensure internal controls.
