Job summary

Hazen & Sawyer seeks a Construction Manager to oversee the construction of water and wastewater facilities and conveyance systems. The role includes on-site management, coordination with multiple teams, and documentation oversight. Travel within the area may be required.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in heavy construction (water/wastewater), strong communication, and proficiency with PROCORE, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Unifier e-Builder. A PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant construction experience, heavy, mechanical and electrical, preferably water/wastewater.
• Familiarity with civil, structural, and mechanical construction methods and materials testing.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Able to move around active construction sites safely; basic computer skills and ability to learn construction software (Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam).
• Professional Engineering License a plus; CCM and OSHA 10 certifications are plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site observations, monitoring, inspection, and evaluation of construction activities for water/wastewater facilities and pipelines.
• Prepare and manage proposals, verify material quantities, and review payment applications.
• Coordinate with Hazen teams, owners, contractors, and third-party inspection/testing firms.
• Review contract documents, drawings and project specifications; verify shop drawing submittals.
• Assist with RFIs, change orders, and data collection for the Design Engineer.
• Utilize cloud-based project documentation tools (PROCORE, Unifier e-Builder, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
• Interface with clients and perform client management activities; support startup, testing, and training.
