Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Field/Construction Coordinator to support field construction management of water and wastewater projects. You will coordinate inspections, review drawings, and prepare daily/weekly reports for project teams.

The position requires a civil engineering or construction management background (0–3+ years), a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills. Familiarity with PROCORE or similar software is a plus, and the role offers growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field (experience can be considered in lieu of degree).
• 0-3+ years relevant construction management/inspection or design experience, preferably in water/wastewater.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Good verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to learn construction software such as PROCORE, Bluebeam, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpretation of project specifications and drawings.
• Provide Document Control.
• Assist in processing and reviewing RFIs, Submittals and Shop Drawings prepared by Contractor.
• Assist in preparing weekly project meeting agendas and documenting meetings.
• Coordinate and facilitate communication between contractor, Design Engineer, project stakeholders, and owner.
• Perform field inspection of Contractor’s daily operations for compliance with Contract Documents.
• Prepare sketches and assemble data for Design Engineers.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports on work accomplished by contractor.
• Use cloud-based project documentation such as PROCORE.
• Other Construction management activities as needed.
