Job summary

Amazon’s Worldwide Grocery & Development, Physical Retail division seeks a Construction Manager focused on base building improvements nationwide. You will assess, plan, and execute building infrastructure projects, serving as the on-site owner to ensure quality and protect real estate investments.

The ideal candidate has a GC or Construction Management background with hands-on field experience, understanding building systems, and resolving deficiencies before they become failures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience operating within at least two disciplines within the construction industry.
• Direct field supervision experience managing subcontractors and multi-trade renovation work.
• Working knowledge of building envelope, structural, MEP, and life safety systems.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and contract documentation (AIA).

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site representative during active projects, overseeing general contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Conduct pre-construction site assessments to evaluate existing conditions and inform scope development.
• Manage day-to-day field operations, enforcing schedule, quality, safety, and issue resolution.
• Lead OAC meetings and communicate with stakeholders and partners.
• Travel 50-75% with extended on-site presence during active construction.
• Coordinate across building envelope, structural systems, site/civil, parking and core MEP infrastructure.
