Job summary

Amazon's Worldwide Grocery & Development, Physical Retail division seeks a Construction Manager focused on base building improvements across our national grocery and retail portfolio. You will oversee on-site construction, manage schedules and quality, and ensure safety compliance while coordinating with internal and external partners.

This role requires extensive travel (50–75%) and deep knowledge of building systems, codes, and lifecycle delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and multi-trade renovation work.
• Knowledge of building envelope, structural, MEP, and life safety systems.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and contract documentation (AIA).

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site representative during active projects with oversight of GC and subcontractors.
• Conduct pre-construction site assessments to inform scope development.
• Manage day-to-day field operations including schedule, quality, safety, and issue resolution.
• Lead OAC meetings and communicate with stakeholders and partners.
• Travel 50–75% with extended on-site presence during active construction.
• Coordinate scope across building envelope, structural, site/civil, MEP infrastructure.
