D.R. Horton is seeking a Construction Manager for the Southeast VA Territory to oversee all field construction activities, ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence, and manage coordination with multiple teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ten years related experience and/or training.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• High degree of construction knowledge and management skills.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, communicate and train field personnel on construction processes, safety and quality.
• Schedule and direct tasks for all construction phases.
• Supervise construction activities through site leaders and superintendents.
• Ensure safety standards per OSHA and state regulations.
• Oversee field operations to meet quality and schedule targets.
• Review architectural plans and approve changes.
• Monitor budgets and control costs.
• Visit job sites to verify quality and policy enforcement.
• Interface with public agencies for permits and approvals.
