Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Construction Manager in Lakeland, FL to oversee home-building projects from inception through move-in. You will manage job sites, schedules, and trade partners to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and cost control.

Responsibilities include leading pre-construction meetings, supervising on-site activities, and ensuring compliance with building codes. The role demands strong organizational skills, budget awareness, and effective cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred, or 3–5 years of home building/construction experience.
• Experience in residential construction management is required.
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Build Pro, Procore, and other construction-management software.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and valid auto insurance.
• Knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all construction activities from inception to move-in, manage job sites, scheduling, and supervising trade partners to ensure timelines and scopes of work are met.
• Conduct twice-daily home walks to monitor progress and uphold quality standards while preserving schedule adherence.
• Coordinate pre-construction and post-construction meetings, inspections, and final presentations with stakeholders.
• Negotiate inspector/trade partner issues to support budget adherence and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage daily trade partner communications and invoice approvals to ensure timely payments using Build Pro.
• Maintain site safety, cleanliness, and compliance with State & Federal building codes; document safety logs.
• Perform Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan inspections and keep accurate records as required.
• Collaborate with sales, customer care, and management teams to ensure effective communication.
