Job summary

Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Construction Manager for a full-time, onsite role in New York. You will oversee all facets of major energy retrofit construction projects and provide cost/constructability input during design and bidding phases.

The candidate will coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules and ensure safety and quality standards across the Queens College project and other sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all facets of major energy retrofit construction projects.
• Provide cost and constructability input during the design phase.
• Coordinate the bid process including pre-bid walkthroughs.
• Prepare and administer subcontract agreements.
• Coordinate the submittal process.
• Schedule, supervise and coordinate subcontractor activities.
• Direct construction meetings between subcontractors, Willdan and the owner.
• Ensure construction progresses according to schedule.
• Prepare detailed three-week construction schedules.
• Update overall construction schedule monthly.
• Update three-week schedule weekly.
• Monitor construction schedules against contract completion dates.
• Ensure construction specifications are followed.
• Act as liaison between subcontractors and engineers.
• Establish quality control procedures.
• Establish safety practices.
• Provide assignments and mentorship to project staff.
• Manage project cost control and forecasting systems.
• Provide monthly cost vs. budget reports to project stakeholders.
• Maintain construction management software.
