AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The Construction Manager will lead the building of Amazon Data Centers, managing construction vendors, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality, and working with partner teams to deliver safe, secure, and efficient data centers.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction project management and oversight of new builds or capital projects.
• Interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate contracts and evaluate bids with accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and RFPs.
• Perform financial analysis of construction projects.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs.
• Manage construction documentation, including submittal reviews, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction quality control and record/report key metrics.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for equipment failures.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to support data center operations.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
• Knowledge of critical data center equipment and engineering documentation.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations (Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA).
• Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations and understanding of electrical/mechanical infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings across all domains.
