Amazon is seeking a Sr Construction Manager for Northeast Construction to lead data center builds, own scope, schedule, budget, and coordinate with general contractors across multiple sites.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers and the equipment that ensures continuous customer access to the cloud.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects for new data center builds and general capital projects, owning scope, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Interface directly with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and close‑out phases.
• Conduct negotiations and evaluate bids and proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and request for proposals, and perform financial analysis of construction.
• Oversee construction of complex electrical engineering systems, including large‑scale power distribution and generation gear.
• Oversee mechanical engineering systems, including cooling and HVAC systems.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs.
• Manage construction documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction quality control and record/report key metrics.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause failure analysis for equipment failures.
• Read and interpret construction specifications and drawings for all disciplines.
• Define data center system‑level architecture and specify/document performance requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience constructing electrical engineering systems, including large‑scale power distribution/generation gear.
• Experience constructing mechanical engineering systems, including cooling systems.
• Knowledge of governing building codes and regulations, including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
• Professional Engineer (PE), LEED, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
• Experience with systems, controls, commissioning, and power management of data center critical infrastructure.
• Ability to value‑engineer and reduce costs and duration without impacting quality.

Benefits & Compensation

Base salary range: USD 139,300 – 208,000 annually (USA, PA, Berwick). Your Amazon package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
