Job summary

Schumacher Homes of North Carolina Inc. is recruiting a Construction Manager in the Wilmington area to lead on-site home builds for our premier on-your-lot program.

You will coordinate trades, manage schedules, and ensure quality while driving homeowner satisfaction. The role emphasizes site supervision, safety, and collaboration with the pre-construction team to meet timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Prior scattered-site residential construction experience (preferred).
• Technical construction knowledge to understand construction processes and terminology to assist in management of field personnel and systems.
• Computer experience – the ability to use technology (Smart Phone, I-Pad). Experience with Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to build their dream home, scheduling trades and ensuring high-quality construction.
• Manage builds within time, cost, quality and homeowner satisfaction standards.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings with the General Manager, Customer Coordinators and homeowners.

Our Construction Manager:

• Must be proficient in understanding residential construction systems.
• Is responsible for working with the customer to build their dream home, schedule trades and ensure the home is built with attention to quality, meeting building time expectations and exceeding homeowner satisfaction!
• Builds assigned homes within time, cost, quality and satisfaction standards.
• Participates in pre-construction meeting with General Manager, Customer Coordinators and homeowners.
