Job summary

Data Center TALNT in Dallas-Fort Worth is hiring an experienced Owner’s Representative Construction Manager to oversee two ground-up data center builds for a leading hyperscale cloud provider. You will act as the owner’s eyes and ears in the field, holding the general contractor accountable to the schedule and safety standards.

This long-term engagement runs through commissioning and turnover, with ongoing reporting to stakeholders and support through project closeout.

Qualifications

• Data center construction experience is mandatory.

• Fluent ability to review, challenge, and assess a contractor’s schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction activities across two data-center builds.
• Monitor the GC schedule, identify delays and quantify their impact on milestones.
• Conduct site safety audits and lead safety initiatives.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, field documentation, and contractor correspondence.
• Prepare estimates and quantity takeoffs to evaluate change orders.
• Verify installed work and progress for monthly billing approvals.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans with owner’s leadership.
• Support commissioning, handover, and turnover from construction through project completion.
• Maintain clear, accurate reporting for project stakeholders.

Schedule: Full-time, on-site | 40 hours per week

Engagement: Long-term contract through December 2028

Role Overview

Data Center TALNT is hiring an experienced Owner’s Representative Construction Manager for a leading global hyperscale cloud provider’s new campus in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

The program includes two concurrent, ground-up data center builds totaling nearly 200 MW. Acting as the owner’s eyes and ears in the field, you will hold the general contractor accountable to the schedule, monitor safety and quality, validate construction progress, and identify risks early enough to mitigate them.

This is a long-term opportunity to join a major hyperscale program at the beginning of its construction lifecycle and remain through commissioning and turnover.

What You’ll Do

• Manage day-to-day construction activities across two concurrent hyperscale data center builds
• Monitor the general contractor’s schedule, identify emerging delays, and quantify their impact on key milestones
• Conduct site safety audits and serve as a visible safety leader across the project
• Manage construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, field documentation, and contractor correspondence
• Prepare estimates and quantity takeoffs to evaluate proposed change orders
• Verify installed work and construction progress in support of monthly billing approvals
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans with the owner’s project leadership
• Support commissioning, handover, and turnover from construction through project completion
• Maintain clear, accurate reporting for project stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Previous data center construction experience as a general contractor or construction manager—this is mandatory
• Demonstrated safety leadership on active construction sites
• Experience supporting projects through commissioning, handover, and turnover
• Strong schedule fluency, including the ability to review, challenge, and assess a contractor’s schedule
• Experience with estimating and quantity takeoffs sufficient to evaluate change orders
• Ability to work on-site in the DFW area full-time
• Availability to begin the engagement quickly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting major hyperscale cloud or technology clients
• Owner’s representative experience on large, complex construction programs exceeding $500 million
• Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or comparable platforms
• OSHA 30 certification
• PMP, CCM, or a comparable professional credential
