Job summary

Data Center TALNT is hiring an experienced Construction Manager for a leading hyperscale data center campus in Eagle Mountain, Utah. This owner-side role oversees daily field execution, directs trade contractors, maintains schedule accountability, and enforces safety and QA/QC standards on-site.

You will coordinate with engineering and commissioning teams, manage MEP scopes through energization, and run coordination meetings to keep the project on track.

Qualifications

• At least two years of data center construction experience; mandatory screening.
• Five+ years total construction management in complex projects.
• Direct experience with MEP-heavy scopes: electrical, mechanical, UPS, generators.
• Proven ability to manage multiple trade contractors on fast-track schedules.
• Knowledge of commissioning and construction-to-commissioning handoff.
• Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam or similar tools.
• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• On-site work in Eagle Mountain six days per week; availability to start quickly.

Responsibilities

• Support RFI and submittal processes; document field conditions and conflicts.
• Coordinate with commissioning teams for turnover packages and tests.
• Provide clear daily progress reporting to project leadership and client.
• Manage site logistics, laydown areas, and material staging across builds.

Role Overview

Data Center TALNT is hiring an experienced Construction Manager for a leading global hyperscale cloud provider’s active data center campus in Eagle Mountain, Utah, just outside Salt Lake City.

In this owner-side role, you will oversee day-to-day field execution across active data hall construction. You’ll direct trade contractors, maintain schedule accountability, enforce quality and safety standards, and partner closely with engineering and commissioning teams.

This is a fast-moving, long-term program with significant work ahead. Data Center TALNT already has Construction Managers working on the campus, and this position will expand that team.

This position is fully on-site in Eagle Mountain, with no remote or hybrid option.

What You’ll Do

• Manage daily field construction activities across assigned data halls
• Ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and schedule
• Coordinate and direct MEP trade contractors, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection
• Oversee MEP scopes from rough-in through energization and commissioning
• Track construction progress, identify delays early, and develop recovery plans with senior project leadership
• Enforce structured QA/QC processes, including inspection hold points, pre-functional checklists, and punch-list resolution
• Champion jobsite safety and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, site protocols, and project-specific safety plans
• Lead safety stand-downs and support incident investigations when required
• Run daily coordination meetings with trade foremen, subcontractor project managers, and client representatives
• Support RFI and submittal processes while documenting field conditions and escalating design conflicts
• Partner with commissioning teams to complete turnover packages and prepare systems for functional testing
• Provide clear daily progress reporting to project leadership and the client
• Manage site logistics, laydown areas, and material staging across concurrent data hall builds

Required Qualifications

• At least two years of data center construction experience—this is mandatory and the client’s first screening requirement
• Five or more years of total construction management experience within commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or similarly complex projects
• Direct experience managing MEP-heavy scopes, including electrical distribution, mechanical cooling, generators, and UPS systems
• Proven ability to manage multiple trade contractors simultaneously on a fast-track construction schedule
• Working knowledge of commissioning and the construction-to-commissioning handoff
• Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or comparable platforms
• OSHA 30 certification
• Ability to work on-site in Eagle Mountain six days per week
• Availability to begin the engagement quickly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting major hyperscale cloud or technology clients
• Familiarity with critical-facility energization and commissioning sequences
• Design-build and fast-track delivery experience in mission-critical environments
• PMP, CCM, or LEED certification completed or in progress
• General contractor or owner’s representative experience on programs exceeding $500 million
