Job summary

nVent seeks a seasoned production operations leader at Trachte in Oregon, WI, to drive safe, efficient manufacturing and lean initiatives. You will guide the process teams, optimize the value stream, and ensure alignment with customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the operations and personnel of the production operations teams.
• Lead and ensure safe, efficient, productive, and economical manufacturing operations.
• Drive waste reduction and value stream improvements across defined product families.
• Lead process team to meet safety, service, cost, and productivity goals; allocate resources accordingly.
• Utilize lean tools to improve cost and service metrics and act as a change agent for waste elimination.
• Monitor daily performance and implement countermeasures and recovery plans for missed targets.

This position will support our Trachte facility in Oregon, WI. As a part of nVent, Trachte is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. Today, nVent connects and protects our customers with inventive electrical solutions. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for critical equipment, buildings and crucial processes. Offering both prefabricated and on-site building capabilities, framed and frameless building construction types, and products ranging from build kits and modular units to fully engineered integrated buildings.

What You Will Experience In This Role

• Provide leadership for the operations and personnel of the production operations teams.
• Lead and handle safe, efficient, productive, and economical manufacturing operations.
• Increase the ratio of value to non-value and eliminate waste in the overall supply chain from start to finish, for a defined product family; and for ensuring the value stream meets or exceeds customer requirements.
• Provide leadership and work direction for the process team to ensure that resources needed are adequate to meet key requirements related to safety, service levels, cost, and productivity
• Utilization of lean tools to provide continuous improvement of all key cost and service metrics
• Act as a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation using Lean methodologies.
• Track daily performance; verify team leader counter measures and recovery plans are in place for missed targets. Ensure process center communication boards are being used every day.

You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred.
• Ideally 5+years proven experience in construction management or manufacturing environment preferred
• Ideally 3+ years proven experience in a leadership role
• Prior experience in a Lean environment preferred
• Experience with ISO9001 would be a plus
• Prior knowledge of ERP systems is a plus
