Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative and technical direction to construction services technicians and inspectors.
  • Plans, coordinates, schedules, and supervises construction services personnel.
  • Performs onsite oversight of construction services technicians and field personnel.
  • Manages personnel processes (hiring, transfers, wages) under supervision and coordinates requisitions.
  • Coordinates and conducts construction, technical, and safety training for staff as required.
  • Ensures compliance with company and project policies, standards, and safety programs.

This hands-on role leads the delivery of municipal, utility, and transportation infrastructure construction projects and provides day-to-day leadership for our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team across the state.The Construction Manager is responsible for managing project execution from pre-construction planning through closeout; coordinating staffing, scheduling, and field oversight; and ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract documents, ODOT/municipal standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. This position serves as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, supports QA/QC and documentation, and contributes to business development by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and strengthening relationships throughout Ohio.THE COMPANYSpicer Group is a multi-disciplinary engineering, surveying, and planning company.
