Job summary

Schumacher Homes is seeking a Construction Manager to lead on-site home building with a focus on quality, schedule and homeowner satisfaction. You will work with customers to align expectations, coordinate trades and ensure timely, within-budget construction.

Role requires understanding of residential construction systems, ability to manage field personnel, and proficiency with technology (smartphones/tablets) and MS Outlook. Prior experience in scattered-site residential projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience managing on-site residential construction projects.
• Knowledge of residential systems and terminology.
• Proficient with mobile devices and MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently understand residential construction systems and lead on-site activities.
• Collaborate with customers to align expectations and coordinate trades.
• Builds assigned homes within time, cost, quality and homeowner satisfaction.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings with managers, coordinators and homeowners.

Our Construction Manager:

• Must be proficient in understanding residential construction systems.
• Is responsible for working with the customer to build their dream home, schedule trades and ensure the home is built with attention to quality, meeting building time expectations and exceeding homeowner satisfaction!
• Builds assigned homes within time, cost, quality and satisfaction standards.
• Participates in pre-construction meeting with General Manager, Customer Coordinators and homeowners.

Requirements

• Prior scattered-site residential construction experience (preferred).
• Technical construction knowledge to understand construction processes and terminology to assist in management of field personnel and systems.
• Computer experience - the ability to use technology (Smart Phone, I-Pad). Experience with Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
