Job summary

Schumacher Homes is seeking a Construction Manager for our on-your-lot homebuilding operation in Louisville, KY. You will work directly with customers to plan, schedule trades, and oversee quality, time, and budget to deliver dream homes with exceptional homeowner satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Prior scattered-site residential construction experience (preferred).
• Technical construction knowledge to understand construction processes and terminology.
• Computer experience – the ability to use technology (smartphone, iPad) and email.

Responsibilities

• Builds assigned homes within time, cost, quality and homeowner satisfaction.
• Schedules trades and ensures the home is built with attention to quality and meeting expectations.
• Participates in pre-construction meetings with General Manager, Customer Coordinators and homeowners.

Construction Manager:

• Must be proficient in understanding residential construction systems.
• Is responsible for working with the customer to build their dream home, schedule trades and ensure the home is built with attention to quality, meeting building time expectations and exceeding homeowner satisfaction!
• Builds assigned homes within time, cost, quality and satisfaction standards.
• Participates in pre-construction meeting with General Manager, Customer Coordinators and homeowners.

Requirements

• Prior scattered-site residential construction experience (preferred).
• Technical construction knowledge to understand construction processes and terminology to assist in management of field personnel and systems.
• Computer experience – the ability to use technology (Smart Phone, I-Pad). Experience with Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
