Job summary

Schumacher Homes is an award-winning on-your-lot builder seeking a Construction Manager to lead residential projects in the Charleston, SC area. You will work directly with customers to plan their dream home, schedule trades, and oversee construction with emphasis on time, cost, quality, and homeowner satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on knowledge of residential construction systems and the ability to coordinate field personnel, with comfort using technology (smartphone, iPad) and Microsoft

Qualifications

• Proficient in understanding residential construction systems.
• Experience managing field personnel and construction processes with attention to quality.
• Experience using technology and mobile tools (smartphone, iPad) and Outlook for communication.

Our Construction Manager:

• Must be proficient in understanding residential construction systems.
• Is responsible for working with the customer to build their dream home, schedule trades and ensure the home is built with attention to quality, meeting building time expectations and exceeding homeowner satisfaction!
• Builds assigned homes within time, cost, quality and satisfaction standards.
• Participates in pre-construction meeting with General Manager, Customer Coordinators and homeowners.

Requirements

• Prior scattered-site residential construction experience (preferred).
• Technical construction knowledge to understand construction processes and terminology to assist in management of field personnel and systems.
• Computer experience – the ability to use technology (Smart Phone, I-Pad). Experience with Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
