Type: Full-Time
Splash City Pools is seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Manager to oversee our residential swimming pool construction operations throughout the Tampa Bay area. The Construction Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the construction department and directly oversees our Project Managers and field construction team. This position is not intended to personally manage every project. The Construction Manager ensures our Project Managers are effectively running their projects, schedules are moving, quality standards are upheld, subcontractors are performing, and problems are resolved before they become major issues. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction leader who understands scheduling, subcontractor management, quality control, and how to hold a team accountable across a large volume of active projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Manager Leadership

Directly supervise and support all Project Managers

Establish clear expectations and accountability for each PM

Conduct regular project and schedule reviews and distribute workloads appropriately

Coach and train Project Managers on company procedures and construction standards

Identify performance issues and implement corrective action when necessary

Hold PMs accountable for schedules, quality, communication, and completion

Construction Scheduling and Production

Oversee the master construction schedule across all active projects

Monitor projects from excavation through final completion

Identify stalled projects, determine causes of delays, and develop recovery plans

Coordinate resources between Project Managers when necessary

Prevent unnecessary downtime between construction phases and maintain consistent project flow

Quality Control

Establish and enforce Splash City Pools construction standards

Perform periodic job site inspections and quality control reviews

Identify workmanship issues before they become customer complaints or warranty claims

Ensure punch list items are corrected promptly and monitor recurring construction problems

Subcontractor Management

Manage relationships with key subcontractors and trade partners

Hold subcontractors accountable for workmanship, scheduling, and professionalism

Assist with recruiting and evaluating new subcontractors

Ensure subcontractors follow Splash City Pools job site and customer service expectations

Customer Experience

Ensure customers receive consistent communication throughout construction

Step into difficult customer situations when management involvement is necessary

Ensure customer commitments are documented and fulfilled

Cost and Change Management

Monitor construction decisions that affect project profitability

Reduce unnecessary rework, wasted labor, and avoidable subcontractor costs

Ensure change orders are documented and approved when required

Field Team Oversight

Oversee Construction Technicians and field support personnel

Ensure technicians receive clear work assignments and maintain clean, professional job sites

Make sure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are properly maintained

Safety and Compliance

Promote safe job site practices and ensure employees and subcontractors follow applicable safety procedures

Ensure construction activities follow permitting, engineering, inspection, and company requirements

Operational Improvement

Develop and improve construction processes, checklists, and standard operating procedures

Identify recurring bottlenecks and improve communication across departments

Help develop scalable construction systems as Splash City Pools continues to grow

Required Qualifications

Proven construction management experience including oversight of Project Managers, superintendents, or field crews

Strong understanding of construction scheduling and sequencing

Excellent leadership, accountability, and decision making skills

Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Comfortable working with CRM, scheduling, and project management software

Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Tampa Bay area

Preferred Qualifications

Swimming pool construction experience specifically
