ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of all field construction activities
  • Establish and maintain a positive rapport and great working relationships with clients and subcontractors
  • Interact with the project design team in a cooperative and productive manner
  • Assist Project Managers in developing work scopes and bid packages to support the procurement of all construction-related activities
  • Develop and maintain the construction schedule; coordinate subcontractors; monitor and report on work progress
  • Provide input in coordinating design documents with field conditions
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports (daily reports, safety audits, progress reports, etc.) in compliance with Company and project requirements
  • Maintain project quality control; monitor and assure conformance with the design documents
  • Assure compliance with company’s safety policies and procedures. Enforce project specific safety requirements. Ensure job site safety and security.
  • Develop site logistics plans and coordinate site activities with Client operations
  • Interface with and support Project Manager and design team as necessary
  • Work with the Project Manager to assure the smooth and timely execution of each project
  • Conduct weekly project meetings with all trade contractors
  • Assist in weekly project status meetings with the Owner, Architect and Construction teams
  • Participate in the review of change requests as required
  • Support the growth and development of the Construction Group as a whole, including regular meetings, and involvement in industry events.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:
  • A minimum of six years’ experience managing all aspects of construction site activities
  • Excellent ability to communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and management
  • Strong job history with a superior safety track record
  • Extensive knowledge of construction industry means and methods
  • Thorough understanding of architectural, civil, mechanical, and electrical plans and specifications
  • Ability to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
  • Experience with and proficiency using web-based Construction Management systems such as CMIC, Procore, etc.
  • Design-Build project delivery experience considered a plus
  • Experience with Lean Construction techniques including Last Planner System is preferred
  • A degree in Construction, Architecture or Engineering is considered a plus
  • Strong understanding of OSHA requirements. OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
  • Experience with scheduling software (Microsoft Project) a plus
  • LEED Accreditation and/or experience on LEED Certified projects considered a plus

Salary Range: $110,000 - $165,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
