Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager I to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. The Project Manager I will work closely with field teams, subcontractors, and clients to manage all aspects of the construction process, resolve challenges, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and able to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently, while ensuring a welcoming and professional work environment. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and oversee the daily execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and making necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.

  • Manage RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, and all other project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage the project contract buyout process and execution, ensuring the selection of qualified subcontractors and vendors who meet project requirements.

  • Negotiate subcontractor contracts, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with project scope, cost, and schedule.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure smooth project execution and mitigate any potential issues.

  • Provide clear direction and leadership to project teams, including field superintendents and subcontractors.

  • Proactively identify and resolve project-related challenges that could affect project success and develop strategies to address them.

  • Conduct project meetings, providing progress updates and coordinating with stakeholders to maintain alignment on project goals.

  • Manage expectations and resolve issues with stakeholders to ensure project success and satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to implement solutions in a timely manner.

  • Monitor job costs, assist with forecasting project financials, and track budget performance.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and minimize expenses without compromising project quality.

  • Enforce adherence to company processes, policies, and industry best practices to ensure successful project execution.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on all job sites.

  • Conduct regular site visits to oversee progress, verify quality, and address potential issues.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Associate Project Managers and Project Engineers, supporting their professional growth.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the business.


Qualifications:


  • 4-6 years of experience in construction project management or a related role.

  • Advanced understanding of construction processes, project documentation, and industry best practices.

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, project scheduling, and budget management.

  • Experience negotiating contracts and managing subcontractor relationships .

  • Knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Smartsheet).

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
