American Electric Power invites motivated students to join a 10- to 12-week paid Construction Management internship. You’ll support field coordination, scheduling, safety initiatives, and project documentation while learning from experienced professionals.

This program offers mentorship, hands-on experience in office and field environments, and housing stipends for eligible students, plus exposure to utility construction practices within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Must have completed freshman year and be 18+.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later; not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsabilités

• Assist planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities.
• Support site visits, project walkdowns, and field observations.
• Review drawings, schedules, and permits with project teams.
• Document progress and maintain project records and reports.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and field staff for project success.
• Learn project controls, procurement, and safety best practices.
