What You'll Do

• Maintain forklift logs and inventory reports; move inventory with forklift
• Organize yard containers by size and condition
• Perform light welding, electrical work, rewiring, and general maintenance including rust remediation, carpentry, and painting
• Manage container inventory preparation and availability
• Inspect, repair, and maintain container types
• Perform basic AC service including filter changes, thermostat replacements, and coil cleaning
• Maintain proper inventory levels of building materials for repairs
• Work outdoors in variable weather conditions
• Work independently and take initiative without constant supervision
• Ensure assets leaving the yard are quality checked and prepared
• Follow safety guidelines and participate in safety meetings
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and support service calls
• Conduct bi-yearly inventory checks

Must Haves

• 2-3 years experience in a construction yard environment
• Basic computer and phone skills
• Forklift certification; container driving experience is a plus
• Strong mechanical skills, including repairing containers, trailers, and waste bins
• Experience processing paperwork, maintaining inventory, basic carpentry, electrical skills, light welding, and AC troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently and safely
• High-energy, results-driven attitude with integrity
• Valid Driver's License

Special Considerations

• Manual dexterity and physical activity required throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor activities such as bending, stooping, climbing, and crawling
