Job summary

Worley in Houston, TX is seeking a Manager, Logistics for construction projects. You will lead logistics strategy, planning, execution, and continuous improvement across projects and asset services.

You will oversee transportation, inventory, warehousing, distribution, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration with procurement, construction, and project controls to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant logistics, supply chain, or supervisory experience.
• Experience supporting industrial construction, EPC, energy, chemicals, mining, infrastructure, or major capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management, inventory control, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain operations.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams, projects, contractors, and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead logistics operations that support industrial construction projects, asset services, and business objectives across the assigned region and customer sectors.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, procedures, and performance standards that drive operational excellence and project success.
• Manage transportation, material distribution, inventory control, warehousing, and supply chain activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment.
• Optimize logistics workflows and operating models to improve efficiency, reliability, productivity, and cost performance.
• Lead vendor qualification, selection, negotiation, and performance management activities to ensure value-driven supplier partnerships.
• Support project execution teams by developing logistics plans that align with construction schedules, procurement activities, and customer commitments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance logistics performance, reduce operational risk, and support sustainable business outcomes.
• Monitor logistics performance indicators, conduct operational analyses, and implement solutions that improve project and business results.
• Manage project-related logistics budgets and ensuring operations are executed within approved financial targets.
• Collaborate with procurement, construction, project controls, engineering, and project management teams to support integrated project delivery.
• Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for logistics professionals and support personnel.
• Support the development and implementation of new logistics systems, tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Manage complex logistics challenges and make informed decisions considering financial, operational, environmental, and customer impacts.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.
• Champion safety, quality, compliance, and operational excellence throughout all logistics activities.
