Spire Solutions, a subsidiary of The Weitz Company, seeks a Logistics Manager in Houston, TX to guide logistics, purchasing, and inventory for construction projects. You’ll coordinate shipments, manage vendor data, and optimize costs while aligning with project timelines and budgets.

You will lead logistics staff, ensure safe and efficient operations, and collaborate with project teams and suppliers to deliver value across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in logistics, supply chain, purchasing, or related field.
• Experience managing/leading a team.
• Experience coordinating freight, including FTL/LTL and specialized shipments.
• Experience purchasing for construction projects is a plus.
• Experience managing inventory across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee logistics operations supporting construction projects from procurement through delivery.
• Purchase materials, equipment, tools, and supplies within budget.
• Coordinate local and long-distance shipments including FTL/LTL and oversized loads.
• Analyze costs, prepare quotes, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with project teams on requirements, schedules, and priorities.
• Develop and maintain shipment, purchasing, inventory, and vendor data.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely receipt, storage, and distribution.
• Track shipments and communicate delays or changes affecting schedules.
• Supervise logistics staff and provide training to ensure consistent processes.
• Ensure safety and efficiency of logistics activities and budgets.
