Job summary

ICON Materials, a CRH company, in Washington state seeks a delivery coordination specialist to oversee daily customer deliveries and support a fast-paced team. You will collaborate with sales, quality control, and drivers to ensure timely, accurate orders and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Safety minded professional with good attendance.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug testing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows applications.
• Able to work efficiently using different pieces of software.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Excellent communication with customers and staff via phone and two-way radio.
• Capable of working independently and overtime/weekends.
• Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer and driver calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Schedules and tracks orders and deliveries.
• Prepare daily schedule for next-day deliveries outlining equipment, personnel, and material needed.
• Coordinate deliveries with customers, sales, quality control, operators and other personnel as required.
• Maintain working knowledge of city streets and surrounding areas to assist drivers in locating specific job sites.
• Schedule, dispatch and control the appropriate level of drivers required to satisfy customer demand while maintaining safety and efficiency goals established by the company
• Must be able to work overtime and varying shift including early mornings, late afternoons and Saturdays
• Record accurate deliver and product information on order, negotiates delivery times with customers
• Enters daily time for all drivers utilizing a time entry system.
• Attention to detail is imperative to accurately record delivery and product information into command dispatch system with ability to negotiate delivery times with customers
• Must be able to perform in high call volume situations while multitasking with plants, team members in the office while sitting for long periods of time
• Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.
