Job summary

Jobot, a respected litigation firm, seeks an experienced Construction Litigation Shareholder to join its well‑established practice in Missouri. The attorney will represent contractors, developers, owners, and sureties in complex disputes, working in a collaborative, high‑performing environment with access to firm leadership.

Responsibilities include managing all phases of litigation, advising on risk, contract drafting/review, and leading business development efforts.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in MO, IL, OR, or FL.
• Litigation experience with construction law preferred.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills; courtroom and deposition experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation from pleadings through trial and appeal.
• Represent clients in disputes involving construction defects, delay claims, mechanic's liens, and bond claims.
• Advise clients on risk management and contract drafting/review to help prevent disputes.
• Take and defend depositions, draft and argue dispositive motions, and prepare cases for arbitration, mediation, and trial.
• Collaborate with a team on multi-party, technically complex matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through practical, business-minded counsel.
• Participate in business development efforts, including client relationship management.
