Job summary

Cole, Scott & Kissane in Miami, FL seeks a Construction Litigation Attorney to join its litigation team. You will represent clients in complex construction disputes, manage discovery, and advocate in depositions, hearings, and trials.

The ideal candidate is licensed in Florida with at least one year of civil litigation experience, excels in written and oral advocacy, and works well both independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.
• Minimum 1 year of civil litigation experience, preferably in construction disputes.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients in construction disputes, including defect claims, torts, and contracts.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions.
• Attend site inspections, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law.
• Prepare pleadings and correspondence.
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.
