Job summary

Cole, Scott & Kissane, P. in Tampa, FL seeks a Construction Litigation Attorney to advise contractors, designers, developers, and clients in defect claims, contractual disputes, and other construction-related matters.

The attorney will take depositions, draft motions, and participate in hearings, mediations, and trials. Qualified candidates must be licensed in Florida, have at least one year of civil litigation experience (preferably in construction), and demonstrate strong written and oral

Qualifications

Florida Bar license required.
Minimum 1 year civil litigation experience, preferably in construction.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Provide counseling and legal services to contractors, design professionals, developers, and individuals in disputes involving defect claims, torts, contractual issues, and other construction-related matters.
Take and defend depositions.
Draft and argue dispositive motions.
Attend site inspections, hearings, mediations, and trials.
Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law.
Prepare pleadings and correspondence.
Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.
