Job summary

Louisiana Bridge Builders in Lake Charles, LA seeks an OandM Laborer - Lead to support project sites with traffic control, material handling, and equipment operation. You will supervise labor crews, coordinate with foremen, and ensure safety in daily tasks such as setting up traffic zones, directing pedestrian and vehicle flows, and maintaining site cleanup.

We require 3+ years of lead laborer experience in construction, valid driver's license, and ability to obtain or maintain motorized

Qualifications

• 3+ years of lead laborer experience in construction with traffic management.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass training/certification for motorized equipment.
• Proven ability to follow directions and work under supervision.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, nights, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provides clear instructions and updates to superiors and laborer team members.
• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, traffic cones, stop slow paddles, and rumble strips.
• Communicating with flaggers to direct two-way traffic onto a single lane.
• Direct traffic at construction sites to ensure safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Operate equipment such as forklift and skid steer.
