Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a Construction Team Lead in Brookston, TX. You will supervise a small crew, ensure adherence to safety policies, and lead productive on-site activities based on blueprints and job orders.

The role requires strong communication and management skills, the ability to meet schedules, and willingness to travel to different job sites as needed. Compensation is hourly, with benefits including health coverage and a 401(k) plan.

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all safety policies and lead team to do the same
• Leads a team of 1-5 workers in safe and productive construction activities
• Ensure that workers perform tasks skillfully and efficiently
• Keep assigned work progressing on schedule
• Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders and assign duties
• Suggest improvements to methods, equipment and working conditions to boost efficiency
• Coordinate material and equipment routing and work area layouts
• May train new workers and assist in site orientation
• Maintain time and production records
• Coordinate with jobsite superintendent and/or Foreman on project activities
• Complete daily project and equipment reports
• Monitor tool maintenance and site materials
• Complete required employee documentation
• Travel to different jobsites on short notice
