Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer to support projects with material handling, scaffolding setup, and concrete work. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficiency on site.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, erecting scaffolding, leveling ground, tending mortar, and assisting with concrete placement while maintaining a clean work area and good communication with crew members.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a two (2) year apprenticeship.
• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to work with power and non-powered tools and equipment.
• Strong teamwork orientation and good communication.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs with assistance as needed.
• Position may change; duties may be updated.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend mortar and grout.
• Move mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• General cleanup and debris removal.
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete.
• Vibrate concrete.
• Build positive working relationships across backgrounds and levels.
• Other duties as assigned.
