MasTec, Inc. is seeking a construction laborer to assist on jobsites, promote safety, and support various craft activities. You will help with concrete work, equipment signaling, material handling, and general site maintenance.

The position may require travel to multiple sites on short notice and demands strict adherence to safety rules. The role emphasizes physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow written instructions.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED with 6–12 months of construction experience.
• Or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Certifications: Tower Rescue, LOTO, Confined Space, Tool Drop; Wanzek Climb Training preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures.
• Complete all required Safety documentation.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery to load, offload, push and pull.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using shovel or other hand tool.
• Mix concrete or grout using portable mixer.
• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using float, trowel or screed.
• Position, join, align and connect pumps, motors and other mechanical or metal parts.
• Mop, brush or spread paints or bituminous compounds over surfaces for protection.
• Spray materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint or stucco through hose to clean, coat or seal surfaces.
• Apply caulking compounds by hand or with caulking gun to seal crevices.
• Grind, sand or polish surfaces such as concrete and steel, using abrasive tools or machines.
• Perform tasks involving use of hands and tools such as torqueing/tensioning bolts and studs, assembling metal parts, building bolt cages, vibrating concrete, sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing forms from concrete, and demolitions, cleanup, use of jackhammers, etc.
• Provide assistance on the site as needed.
• Perform care and maintenance of assigned tools.
• Perform physical labor on construction sites.
• May be required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice.
