Aerotek is hiring Construction Laborers for a first shift in Fairfax, IA. The role includes yard-to-site material handling, assisting with forklift tasks, and supporting large-scale construction crews on outdoor projects.

Immediate starts are available for qualified applicants, with strong emphasis on safety and reliability. The position is contract-based, with a typical 6:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule, and a competitive pay range of $18–$25 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience on large commercial construction sites is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move construction materials as needed.
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with basic safety procedures on active job sites.

Responsibilities

• Direct and spot trucks to ensure safe unloading of materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site.
• Assist with forklift operations and material movement.
• Place cones, barriers, and safety equipment around the work area.
• Support tradespeople with daily tasks on site.
• Assist with installing containment systems around server equipment.
• Follow all site safety procedures and project guidelines.
