Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Construction Laborer for a contract-to-hire role in Nampa, ID. The position supports off-site volumetric construction in a permanent, highly automated facility, performing framing, drywall and light electrical work with hand and power tools.

You will work with a small team, read a tape measure to 1/16", and help maintain high uptime around robots. The job offers four-day weeks and a 100% employer-paid medical plan for employees.

Qualifications

• Experience in off-site, modular, or volumetric construction environments.
• Worked prior in rework or utility-related construction tasks.
• Comfort working around automated systems and industrial robots.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with off-site volumetric construction activities in an indoor, permanent facility.
• Perform framing tasks using carpentry techniques, hand tools, and power tools.
• Install, repair, and finish drywall as part of the construction and rework process.
• Support light electrical work in the Utility/Rework department under appropriate guidance.
• Use tape measures accurately, including measurements down to 1/16", to ensure precise cuts and fits.
• Operate hand, power, and pneumatic tools safely and efficiently to maintain production flow.
• Contribute to maintaining a stable production phase and high up-time of the factory’s operations.
• Identify issues on the line and help resolve them by applying strong problem-solving skills.
• Work collaboratively with team members, communicating clearly to coordinate tasks and priorities.
• Follow safety procedures and best practices while working around automated equipment and robots.
• Perform physically active tasks, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting 50+ pounds regularly.
• Support rework activities by correcting defects or making adjustments to meet quality standards.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16".
• Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
• Hands-on construction experience, particularly in framing and carpentry.
• Ability to perform drywall installation and related tasks.
• Familiarity with basic electrical tasks or light electrical work.
• Strong drive to maintain a stable production phase and high up-time in a factory environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a self-starting mindset.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including regularly lifting 50+ pounds.

The Construction Laborer on the weekday shift works indoors in a permanent, state-of-the-art facility, using hand and power tools to support off-site volumetric construction. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nampa, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
