Job summary

Baker Concrete Construction, Inc. is seeking a Labor Relations Manager to oversee union labor relations across the region, ensuring alignment with operations and payroll, while maintaining strong partnerships with building trades.

The role requires strategic negotiation, contract interpretation, and proactive labor-management collaboration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CBAs/PLAs, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 75% to support construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; minimum 7 years in union construction labor relations or related field.
• Demonstrated experience interpreting CBAs/PLAs and resolving labor-related issues.
• Experience negotiating and administering project-specific labor agreements.
• Strong knowledge of union wage structures, fringe benefits, hiring practices, and craft labor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary company representative with local, regional, and international building trade unions.
• Review, interpret, and administer CBAs, PLAs, and related labor agreements.
• Negotiate single-job agreements and project-specific labor arrangements.
• Handle grievances, disputes, and jurisdictional issues; coordinate with Operations and Craft Leadership on labor needs.
• Support payroll with wage rate determination and fringe benefits.
