Job summary

Baker Concrete Construction, Inc is seeking a Labor Relations Manager to oversee union labor relations across the region, partnering with Operations, Payroll, Legal and HR to ensure compliance with CBAs and PLAs while maintaining strong relationships with building trades.

The role requires negotiation of project-specific labor agreements, handling grievances, monitoring labor markets, and travel to support field operations. A Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in union labor relations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years' union construction labor relations experience.
• Experience interpreting CBAs/PLAs and resolving labor-related issues.
• Experience negotiating and administering project-specific labor agreements.
• Strong knowledge of union wage structures and fringe benefits.
• Direct experience with union building trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary company representative with local, regional, and international building trade unions.
• Review, interpret, and administer CBAs/PLAs and related labor agreements.
• Negotiate project-specific labor agreements and letters of assent.
• Handle grievances and jurisdictional issues; resolve labor-management matters.
• Coordinate with Operations and Craft Leadership on labor needs and wage determinations.
• Attend union and industry association meetings; monitor labor-market conditions.
