Job summary

Lansing Community College is seeking student employees for the Construction Lab at the West Campus. This role supports instructors, maintains safety, and keeps the lab ready for classes. You will assist students and faculty, help inventory and prepare supplies, and map tool locations.

daytime and evening shifts may be required. Ideal candidates are enrolled in Building Construction or Construction Management programs with a high-school diploma or GED and a 2.0 GPA minimum.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Active enrollment in Building Construction or Construction Management program.
• Minimum 2.0 GPA.
• International students must meet enrollment requirements to maintain eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide information on lab safety to students and visitors.
• Ensure lab safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Keep the lab clean, orderly, and prepared for classes.
• Assist students, faculty, and lab assistants during class times.
• Maintain lab equipment and inventory supplies.
• Complete work requests for faculty and lab assistants.
• Map tool locations and workstations in the lab.
