Job summary

Big-D Construction seeks an experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead company-wide training initiatives in the Boise, ID area. You will partner with leadership, HR, and SMEs to craft programs spanning technical, safety, leadership, and professional growth.

You will supervise the Instructional Designer and Safety Trainer, maintain LMS systems, and track progress against career paths and development plans. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in L&D are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Education, or related field required.
• 3–5 years in learning and development, training management, or organizational development; leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with LMS administration and MS Office is required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with department leaders and SMEs to identify training needs and design courses.
• Develop, update, and maintain a company-wide training curriculum.
• Design career path frameworks for field and office roles with HR and leadership.
• Collaborate with HR on talent development initiatives and succession planning.
• Directly supervise and develop the Instructional Designer and Safety Trainer.
• Oversee LMS course creation, assignments, and reporting.
• Maintain training records, completions, and certifications.
• Track progress along established career paths and development plans.
• Manage scheduling and logistics of training programs company-wide.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and propose improvements.
• Develop and manage the L&D budget with HR.
• Stay current on adult learning and industry requirements.
