Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co is offering a Construction Internship for Summer 2024 in Indianapolis, IN. This position will provide valuable experience in home construction and management, with opportunities for hands-on learning and collaboration.

Interns will assist with various site functions, gain exposure to the home building process, and develop strong relationships with team members. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and two years of collegiate coursework. Compensation will be available, and candidates must be located in Indianapolis.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Assist the Superintendent with the management of all functions of the job site as it relates to home construction
  • Learn and understand the home building process and the schedule.
  • Shadow pre-construction meetings, pre-drywall meetings, orientation walks and closing walks.
  • Shadow weekly phone calls with buyers who are under construction to enhance their experience and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Learn how to create a good open working relationship with the sales team at your job site – communicate with them weekly on any customer issues for a unified Arbor front.
• Maintain constant job site readiness daily for the contractor base such as keeping houses, garages, lots, and common areas clean.
• Help ensure on-site safety as well as compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Opportunity to learn more about the general operations of the division both within and outside of the assigned department that will be supplemental to the learning experience.
