Overview

Elite Homes, a subsidiary of Arbor Homes, is seeking an Assistant Builder for our Louisville team. In this role you will support quality construction of our customers’ homes and receive training to become a Construction Assistant Builder.

Responsibilities

• Focus on the training and supervision of trade partners using job schedules and trade scopes of work.
• Oversee construction, inspection, and scheduling to ensure completion within the cycle time.
• Ensure all trades meet or exceed quality standards and strive to deliver a "Zero Punch List" home.
• Correct and fine‑tune a home so it meets quality standards.
• Maintain community appearance, showcase homes, models and sales center.
• Communicate clearly with a Construction Superintendent, Sales Manager, trade base, and home owners.
• Provide feedback to your supervisor about trade partner performance.
• Approve trade partner purchase orders upon satisfactory completion of work and validate material deliveries for quantity and condition.
• Walk assigned homes twice a day at a minimum.
• Ensure job site cleanliness, safety and SWPPP compliance per state and federal guidelines and company policy.
• Attend construction meetings and training classes as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Computer literate; comfortable using phone applications, Word, and Excel.
• Current driver’s license, good driving record, and valid auto insurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Construction and/or customer relations experience is a plus.
