Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. seeks a Commercial Construction Intern for the 2027 program in Falls Church, VA. The 10-week internship offers hands-on learning, mentorship, and networking with project managers and superintendents.

Open to undergrad/grad students in construction, engineering, or business. Expect ~40 hours/week, exposure to Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe, and Office 365, plus safety and quality control involvement.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in construction, engineering, or business.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in construction management is a plus.
• Ability to work ~40 hours per week for the 10-week program.

Responsibilities

• Support various aspects of project delivery alongside project managers and superintendents.
• Assist with subcontractors and supplier coordination, material tracking, and file management.
• Contribute to document control processes, including drafting submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Support the preparation of bid packages and assist in soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids.
• Aid in progress reporting and updates for internal teams and client communication.
• Assist with jobsite responsibilities such as reviewing drawings, verifying site conditions, coordinating trades, and supporting safety and quality control.
