Job summary

Whiting-Turner Co. Connecticut is seeking a Construction Intern for 2026-2027 to gain hands-on experience across office and job-site activities. You will be assisting project teams through bidding to final completion with structured supervision.

Assignments include site visits, documentation, and coordination with subcontractors, owners, and architects. Housing may be provided in certain situations; relocation to remote sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students interested in gaining hands-on practical experience in the construction field.
• Qualified applicants will assist project teams in managing construction projects from bidding to final completion.

Responsibilities

• You will learn engineering and technical aspects of the project in the field and office.
• Assist with quantity take-off, layout, RFI reviews, submittals, logs and coordination with subs.
• Attend weekly progress meetings and help coordinate work among owner, architect and subs.
