Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an undergraduate intern to gain hands-on experience in construction. You will support project teams across bidding, preconstruction, and field work, with assignments in both office and job site environments.

Responsibilities include learning engineering aspects, performing quantity take-offs, reviews of drawings and submittals, and supporting scheduling and safety tasks. Housing may be provided in certain situations.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students in construction.
• Assist project teams across bidding to completion.
• On-site and office tasks with possible relocation to remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist quantity take-off, layout, and surveys.
• Review shop drawings and maintain logs.
• Review and submit RFIs and submittals; coordinate with subs and suppliers.
• Attend weekly progress meetings and support project management.
