Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking undergraduate interns to gain hands-on experience in construction, supporting project teams from bidding through final completion. You may work in the office or on job sites, with potential relocation to remote sites and required transportation.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Assist project teams in managing construction projects from bidding to completion.
• Assignments include office and job site; relocation to remote sites may be required.
• Transportation is required.
• Housing may be provided in certain situations.

Responsibilities

• Learn engineering and technical aspects of the project both in the field and in the office.
• Experience may include quantity take-off, layout, preconstruction surveys, and shop drawing review.
• Assist with reviews of submittals, RFIs, change orders, and logs.
• Coordinate work among owner, architect and subcontractors; attend weekly progress meetings.
• Assist during the bid process and with reviewing construction documents and revisions.
