Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an undergraduate intern to gain hands-on experience in construction. You will support project teams through all phases from bidding to final completion, including office and job-site assignments. Relocation to a remote site may be required, with transportation provided if needed.

Work periods run 10–12 weeks at 40 hours per week. You will report to project managers, superintendents, or engineers and perform various tasks such as quantity

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students seeking hands-on experience in construction.
• Candidates will assist project teams across bidding to final completion.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity take-offs, layouts, surveys, and submittal reviews.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors; support during bid processes.
• Help prepare billings, change orders, and cost estimates; maintain logs.
