EPIC Brokers is seeking a Placement Specialist to place new business and manage renewals for the Northeast Construction & Surety Practice. The role collaborates with producers, account managers and underwriters to secure opportunities and ensure accurate renewals.

Qualified candidates have 3-5 years in commercial insurance, strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, and a preference for NY construction coverage knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance, with a focus on renewals and new business.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, particularly within the NY construction sector.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• New Business Placement: Prepare submissions, work with carriers and wholesalers, secure new business quotes and prepare proposals for Producers to present to prospects.
• Renewal Management: Oversee the renewal process of assigned remarketing efforts, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with producers, account managers, and other team members to achieve business goals.
• External Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters and brokers.
• Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders.
• Negotiation: Utilize strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Relationship Building: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients and partners.
• Insurance Expertise: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial insurance coverages, with a priority given to candidates with experience in the NY construction space.
