Job summary

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants is seeking a Placement Specialist to place new business and manage renewals for the Northeast Construction & Surety Practice. The role involves collaborating with producers, account managers, underwriters, and insureds to quote, propose, and implement favorable terms.

Experience in NY construction space, strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance
• Deep knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, especially NY construction
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• New Business Placement: Prepare submissions, secure new business quotes, and prepare proposals for Producers to present to prospects.
• Renewal Management: Oversee renewal processes for assigned remarketing efforts with timely, accurate completion.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with producers, account managers, and team members to achieve business goals.
• External Relations: Build and maintain relationships with underwriters and brokers.
• Effective Communication: Communicate clearly with all stakeholders.
• Negotiation: Use strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Relationship Building: Develop long-term relationships with clients and partners.
• Insurance Expertise: Demonstrate understanding of commercial insurance coverages, with NY construction space as a focus
